Concentrated, natural source vitamin E

Vitamin E capsules from Pharma Nord contributes to the protection of body cell constituents from oxidative stress.
A major fat-soluble antioxidant, vitamin E protects cell membranes from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are toxic chemicals, generated within the body as unwanted by-products of normal metabolism. In addition, environmental pollutants can generate free radicals.

    (290 mg a-TE ) of d-alpha-tocopherol
  • Designed to withstand stomach acidity in order to ensure optimum absorption

Vitamin E Deficiency

The best dietary sources of vitamin E are foods that happen to have a high fat content (such as nuts and avocados). Individuals who are on low fat diets may obtain their vitamin E requirement via dietary supplements.

Ageing, smoking and drinking alcohol are all factors in reducing levels of vitamin E. Diets containing a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids may result indeficient vitamin E absorption.

Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

What is the best form of Vit E to take?

Vitamin E (natural or synthetic) can occur in different chemical forms (principally alpha-, beta-, delta- and gamma tocopherols), which have different biological activity; the most effective form of vitamin E  by the human body is d-alpha-tocopherol.

Pharma Nord Bio-E-Vitamin capsules each contain 430 IU (290 mg a-TE) of d-alpha-tocopherol.

Directions:
1 capsules per day or as recommended by a physician. To be taken with food.  Do not exceed recommended amount.
Pregnant and lactating women and those on medication should seek professional advice prior to taking supplements.
Nutritional supplements should not be used as substitute for a varied diet and healthy lifestyle.

Vitamin E may rarely cause gastrointestinal disturbances or headaches. People taking anticoagulant medications or those with a Vitamin K deficiency may have an increased risk of bleeding with high intakes of VitaminE.
