Omega 7 is a nutritional supplement that is produced using the berry and seed of the Sea buckthorn plant. This shrub, originating from the Himalayas, is rich in Omega 7 fatty acid, including palmitoleic acid and vaccenic acid. What is Omega 7 good for?

Milligrams (mg)- 1000mg is equal to 1g
Micrograms (mcg or μg)- 1000μg is equal to 1mg
International Units (IU)- Slightly more complex than milligrams (mg) and micrograms (μg), International Units measure differently from nutrient to nutrient. The most common nutrients that are likely to be measured in IU are vitamins D, E and A.

The omega-7 shell contains carrageen, I heard/read that this is bad for you?
There are 2 types of carrageen and omega-7 uses the type that is declared safe and makes an effective, vegan shell. The other type of carrageenan (poligeenan) is not approved for use and is not found in any of our products.

Can children take omega-7?
The oil itself is perfectly suitable for children, as long as they’re of an age where they can safely swallow the capsule. The capsule shell can be opened and the oil inside consumed to make this easier.

Does Omega-7 interact with Thyroxine?
No, there is no existing evidence to suggest that they interact but please check with the doctor if unsure.

Can I continue to take 2 capsules, twice a day after the first two weeks?
Yes. Many customers find they prefer this dose level and would like to maintain it, this poses no problem.
